Weaving Workshop

On Wednesday 5th March, we had a Weaving Workshop as part of our Creative Clusters Project with Geraldine O'Sullivan. Geraldine works as part of the Heritage in Schools programme. The children learned about textile making in Ireland in the past. Geraldine brought in old photographs and artefacts such as a spinning wheel. She allowed the children to attempt "carding" wool. It was hard work! The children then put their own weaving skills to the test and created bracelets and characters.
