Aughris Beach Trip

Children from the Senior Room went to Aughris Beach on Wednesday, 10^th April for an Explorers Seashore Safari.  The Explorers Seashore Safari brought the children to the seashore to participate in a field trip involving interactive activities learning about marine habitats, living things and environmental awareness and care on the shore.  The class were accompanied by an Explorers education officer, who had come in to Cloonloo in the moring and delivered a workshop on Irish Marine life before we travelled to Aughris Beach.  The children found starfish, crabs, various types of seaweed and shellfish.  The project is funded by the Marine Institute.
