Happy Halloween

We had our Fancy Dress Halloween Party at school on Friday 27th October.  We played Halloween games such as Chop the Cherry, Snap Apple and Ducking!!! Ms. Savage made chocolate apples.  It was great fun!!

School Tour 2017

We went to Mayo Leisure Point in Castlebar.  All the children went bowling.  The younger children went to  Nokey’s Adventureland and the older children went  to  Q-2000 Laser.

Back to the 80’s Musical

On 1st February we attended the musical “Back to the 80’s” in Boyle.  It was very enjoyable.

Fred, the Party Professor

On November 18th Fred, the Party Professor visited the school.  He performed magic tricks, songs and tunes on numerous musical instruments.  All the children enjoyed the show very much!!!

Science Week 2016

We were exploring the theme of light for Science Week. We talked about different colours. We made a rainbow using a prism. We designed and made sunglasses. The children in First and Second class investigated transparent and opaque materials.

Ag Súgradh Le Chéile

Parents and children from the Junior Room participated in “Ag Súgradh Le Chéíle” on the 11th October in Cloonloo Hall. We played lots of fun games together!!!

Maths Week 2016

Each day for Maths Week the children had a puzzle to solve including our Friday Puzzle which involved estimating the number of sweets in the bag.  We went on a maths trail around the school.

Electrical Safety

We had a visitor called Stephen from ESB Networks who came to talk to us about electrical  safety . The children in Junior Infants were given high vis vests.
